INTRODUCTION

Internet and the English Language Classroom presents a collection of research-based articles on the use of the Internet in the English language classroom. The articles range from the examination of the use of the Internet for developing students’ language skills such as reading and writing to teachers’ professional development. The articles in this volume also discuss how the internet could be used to improve student-teacher interaction and also ways in which teachers may be able cater to the needs of the different learning styles of their students by sourcing out a variety of online resources that could meet the needs of different kinds of learners. This volume presents work from Malaysian and international researchers from the Asian region.
